Shougakukan-ban Gakushuu Manga: Shounen Shoujo Nihon no Rekishi(1981)

Japanese history is best learned through manga! The Shogakukan edition of the "History of Japan for Boys and Girls," which sparked this boom, is now available in a new 24-volume set with addition of a new "Heisei no 30 nen" (30 Years in the Heisei Era) volume.

Based on meticulous historical research, the manga reproduces the period from the Paleolithic Age to the present day, just before the change of the new era.
As a first introduction of history for children, this is a full-fledged book that will provide them with correct knowledge while being entertaining.

The manga is easy to read even for elementary school students, yet the content is authentic. It can be used for a long time, even useful for junior high school entrance exams and beyond. By learning through familiar cartoons, you will come to love history.
