Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what this is

AnimeHunt ("the Service") is a website for discovering and tracking anime, manga and related works. We host catalog information (titles, descriptions, cover references, links) and your personal activity (library, scores, lists). We do not host or stream the works themselves; links lead to third-party sites.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you may only use the Service with a parent's or guardian's permission.
• The Service does not list explicit (18+) content. Some titles are rated "mature" (fan service, strong violence, intense themes) and are blurred by default for visitors who are not signed in or are under 18.
• You may not use the Service if your account was previously suspended for a policy violation.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for your credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must give a truthful date of birth. We use it only to apply age-appropriate settings.
• One person, one account. Automated accounts are not allowed.

4. Your content and your rights

• Library entries, scores, notes, reviews and profile information you add remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and process them to run the Service (for example to show your public library or compute recommendations).
• Public libraries are visible to everyone. You can make your library or individual entries private at any time.
• Listings submitted by creators are governed by the Creator & IP Policy in addition to these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• circumvent content-rating, age or privacy settings;
• scrape, mirror or bulk-download the Service beyond what the public pages offer, or interfere with its operation;
• submit false attestations, impersonate others, or list works you do not have the rights to;
• post unlawful, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit material;
• use the Service to infringe anyone's rights.

6. Third-party sites and data

The Service links to external sites (hosting platforms, databases, streaming services). We are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. Catalog data is derived from the sources credited on the Data Sources page and may contain errors; please report them.

Some outbound links to shops and streaming services are affiliate links. If you buy or subscribe through such a link we may receive a commission from the merchant at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked on the page where they appear, and they never change which titles we show or how we rank them.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict ("freeze"), suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies. Frozen accounts keep read access and their library but cannot take creator actions. You may appeal any decision by contacting us; we aim to reply within 14 days. You can delete your account at any time.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.
