Creator & IP Policy
Draft for legal review. Version 2026-10-01.
1. Who may list or claim a series
- Only the creator, a co-creator, the publisher, or a person authorized by them may submit a series or claim an existing listing.
- Fan works, translations, and derivative works based on someone else's intellectual property are not accepted as indie listings.
- Listings link to where the series is hosted. AnimeHunt does not host the works themselves in this version of the Service.
2. Your attestation
When you submit or claim, you tick a statement confirming that you hold the rights, that your link and declarations (content rating, AI involvement) are accurate, and that you accept this policy. We record who made the statement, when, from which network address and device, and which version of this policy applied. These records are kept for legal purposes even if you later delete your account, without your name attached.
3. Verification
Claims are verified by a moderator. We give you a short code to place in your profile or series description on the hosting platform so we can confirm you control it. We may ask for additional evidence. Conflicting claims are paused and reviewed together.
4. Our rights
If an attestation turns out to be false, or a listing infringes someone's rights or violates the Content Policy, we may: remove or unlist the series; revoke your claim; freeze your account; suspend your account; and, once paid features exist, withhold or reverse payouts connected to the listing. Repeat infringers are suspended permanently. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
5. Rights holders
If you believe a listing infringes your rights, use the Takedown page. You do not need an account. We act promptly on complete notices, inform the person who made the listing, and accept counter-notices.
6. Changes
We may update this policy; the version you agreed to is recorded with each attestation.
